Mindful Breathing

Recently I came upon the term mindfulness in relation to mindful breaths and wondered what it meant. So I after doing some research this is what I learned.

Mindfulness, among other things, is an attentive awareness of the present moment. Heavily established in Buddist teaching, it advocates that one should establish mindfulness (satipatthana) in one’s day-to-day life by maintaining as much as possible a calm awareness of one’s bodily functions, sensations (feelings), objects of consciousness (thoughts and perceptions), and consciousness itself.

Mindfullness can take form in the place of breathing by taking three successive breathes to reconnect and reground oneself. In today’s world of hustle and bustle, stress and anxiety, we can all and should take time to breathe. And when I say breathe I mean truly take in full breaths to nourish our souls, whereby fill your lungs every cell in your body breathes too.

So for the next few minutes take some time for yourself and we all have 2 minutes, to practise the art of mindfullness and being grounded.

Mindfulness Exercise

First become aware of each breath.  Breathe through your nose and out through your mouth. Pay attention to your breath and only your breath. While breathing in, visualize filling every cell, every fiber, every space in your body with your breath.  Visualize you body liting up while lightening up.  Feel your breath. Expel it out and repeat.  You may notice that your breath naturally will become slower and deeper as your mind and body calm.

So you’ve come here to learn what the greatest magic trick in the world is, right? Well its also the simplest yet the most amazingly easy magic trick to learn. Everyone is capable of performing it as anyone can do it. It’s so simple it sometimes boggles the mind as to how easy it is.

It’s the one thing that can be replicated the easiest and fastest. It’s the one thing that can improve someones frequency or energy in a split second. It has a way of making all those who participate in it feel good.

Although we all have the requirements for it, some of us rarely use it or even know that it’s a magic trick. The truth of the matter is that we are all magicians yet most of us don’t even know it.

The magic trick secret is getting the person you are performing the trick on to respond in kind.

Magic Trick Explained

The best way to perform the magic trick is for the other person whom the trick will be performed on not know that you are performing a trick for them. Its best for the trick to be a surprise. Here’s what you do.

How to Perform the Magic Trick

Find a place to sit where there is a good stream of people walking by. Make sure you are visible to them. Choose someone who is walking close you and… smile. What happened? Did the person return the smile? If they did, ta da…you’ve performed the trick. You made someone smile!

Why a Smile

Why not a smile? It harms no one. In fact smiles are very much associated with happiness and happy people. Its a great way to not only improve or increase you energy but that of the recepient as well.

Simple isn’t it. I told you it’s the easiest magic trick to do. Now go out there, find a place to sit and rediscover your expertize and become an expert in your innate magic trick!

The Four Agreements

January 2, 2012 by admin

With the end of 2011 and the beginning of 2012, I’ve decided to try to implement four agreements I’ve made with myself.  Don Miguel Ruiz, the author of The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom explains in such an easily understandable way how we learn to behave in society, what to believe and not believe, what is acceptable and what is not, what is beautiful and what is ugly, what is bad and what is good. He calls this, the domestication of humans. He continues to say that these teachings were not our choices as children, but rather passed down from the other humans on the planet that came before us.  We are domesticated through the “good girl/boy” or “bad girl/boy” rules of reward and punishment.  So depending on which we received, our domestication was created.

So what are the Four Agreements:

  1. Be impeccable with your word
This is the most important one because the power of words is amazing.   Choose the words you tell yourself and others well because they can either bless or poison you as well as the person they are directed to. Words can manipulate people so choose your words carefully.
  2. Don’t take anything personally
Usually when people are mean to you, it is usually they who are dealing with their own feelings. It is poison they are trying to send you for you to eat up.  Don’t! If you eat that or take it personally, then it now becomes yours.
  3. Don’t make assumptions
The problem with assumptions is that we will usually believe them as the truth. Don’t assume you know what the other person wants or is talking about, always confirm.  Make sure that you are both on the same page and that your communication is both clear and impeccable.
  4. Always do your best
Once you do your best you have nothing to worry about.

After reading this book The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom, and understanding the four parts, I’ve decided as stated before to try to implement these into my daily life.

I would definitely recommend reading this book by The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom Don Miguel Ruiz as it is a very simple way to understand how to improve your life.  The four agreements seem simple enough, so here goes! Go read the book and try it with me.

Nelson Mandela Invictus Inspiration

September 10, 2011 by admin

I love this poem!

I’ve just finished watching the Invictus movie based on the events in South Africa before and during the 1995 Rugby World Cup, hosted in that country following the dismantling of apartheid and was inspired after hearing Nelson Mandela read this poem by Marianne Williamson. I stumbled upon this one which is a great addition to our site Changing Your Frequency. I was unable to located the name of the poem so if anyone who reads this know, please send us a comment. Update: I got the name.

Our Deepest Fear

Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate,
but that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.
It is not just in some; it is in everyone.

And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give
other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

Happy Mother’s Day

Change Your Frequency thanks all mothers and other mothers of the world. We thank you for your gift of life, your dedication, your love and your caring ways. You are the true representation of the feminine energy force in this universe.

Celebrated traditionally on the 2nd Sunday of May, mothers are paid extra special attention to from their family, friends and loved ones.

Deeply rooted in ancient Egyptian mythology, Roman mythology and Greek mythology, it’s strong symbolic and spiritual overtones was originally created to celebrate Goddesses and feminine symbols rather than actual Mothers.

Goddess Isis of ancient Egyptians, who is considered the Mother of the Pharaohs and whose head is crowned by a pair of bull horns which encloses a fiery sun orb, is considered to be the earliest historical records of the celebration of mothers.

Goddess Cybele of ancient Rome was at the root of their Mother’s Day while Goddess Rhea of ancient Greece, known as the mother of most of the major Greek deities, was celebrated as their mother goddess. Celebrations were held for all three of these goddess some of which surrounded the spring equinox.

Many other societies celebrate Gaia, or the earth goddess as a way of thanking her for our bountiful life.

We should all thank our mothers no matter where our beliefs stem from, because without them, we would not be here. What ways to you celebrate the feminine energy?

Dear Woman…From Conscious Men - Video

This is a beautiful video from men to the women of the world.

It is both an appology as well as a new understanding of the feminine energy. This wonderful change of frequency, aka the shift, is consistent with the changes which are taking place in the world today.

Thank you for taking the time to participate in this pouring of love from your heart and thank you to your awakening of the feminine conscious mind. My hope is that other men, who do watch it, do not feel intimidated, but have a welcoming of learning from the other half of the energies in and throughout the universe. Please watch, as it’s very moving.

Abraham - Hicks: How does the vortex feel?

March 1, 2011 by admin
Filed under Archive, Featured, Spiritual Teachers, Videos

There have been a few posts featured on Change Your Frequency talking about Abraham and the vortex. These powerful videos explain a lot about being in the vortex and what to do to get there. But there really hasn’t been a video explaining how it feels to be in it fully, till now.

Remember in order to get in the vortex, Abraham speaks about:

  1. Training yourself to talk more about what you want rather than what you don’t want;
  2. Wanting to be in the vortex more than anything and;
  3. Be willing to move in the direction of what you want and no longer continue to beat the drum of what caused you to ask for your desires.

So what does it feel like once you get there?  How do you as a spiritual being feel knowing that you are there with the  vibrational escrow of your desires. Well here’s what it feels like to truly be in the vortex from Abraham:

Enjoy…with love & gratitude,
