Whatever we do often comes out to be a true reflection of our thoughts. For instance, people who whine and surrender to the belief that they do not have a life or are stuck in an abusive relationship will probably end up right there.
The law of attraction also states that you attract and manifest the things you think about. If you obsess about the problems you have now, you will stay stuck in the problems. But if you concentrate on where you want to go from there, you’ll start to move forward again and attract helpful events, in an ever-increasing measure, that will help you to gain momentum and improve your prospects. It pays to focus on what you want, not on what you don’t want.
Those who might have watched a film called The Secret, or even read the book, will agree with me that everything that comes into our lives is attracted to us, through us, by the desirable quality of the images we hold in our minds. This simply means that when you think positive thoughts and focus on them intently, just like a magnet you will attract positive things in your life. You can therefore turn your specific and hopeful wishes for money or great relationships into strong magnetic intentions by focusing your thoughts on these desires and nothing else.
That being said, not everything we think about happens. What you think about most, over and over again, and that’s with the greatest amount of personal energy and attention, will indeed grow, manifest and come into your life. He suggests that you must first write down and talk about what you do want, not what you don’t want, be as specific as possible and once you have clarified what you want, do the following each and every day.
Here’s his top 6 daily rituals:
- Morning Intention, Visualization and Releasing: When you wake up in the morning, take a few minutes to focus your mind on your desires, goals and intentions. Close your eyes and visualize your desires and goals as already being achieved.
- Use External Images to Keep you Focused on Your Desires and Goals: To keep yourself focused on what you want to manifest, surrounding yourself with visual images of the things and experiences you want to create in your life. You can use a vision board or book to keep your pictures. Add words to create a bigger impact. While looking at the words and pictures, say to yourself “This is mine now! This is who I am!”
- Think a Better Feeling Thought: Notice the times you have emotional responses throughout the day which are not aligned with your desired manifestations. You must remember that it is your feelings that are manifesting your current circumstances. By changing your frequency through your thoughts, you are changing your vibrations. What Are You Focusing On?

I came across an article writen by a woman about her main 2009 resolution which is to ‘focus on the silver lining.’ The way she wrote it made me understand exactly what she was focusing on and exactly what she’s going to be focing on. Her article was simple and to the point.
She begins by writing the 2008 focus she wants to change then writes a 2009 positive thinking focus under. So, for example she writes:
2008 focus: My daughter still cries for hours most every night.
2009 focus: I have a daughter who is alive to cry. Five of my friends miscarried this year and a friend of a friend’s child died at one month old. I am very blessed.
I think that this is a great idea for everyone to do. Write down your old 2008 focal points. Look at it, read it aloud and view how negative it looks on that paper. Then write down your new 2009 focal points from your new positive thinking perspective. Keep this piece of paper within reach so you can review it everyday. This way it will be in black and white reminding you of how you want to find the silver lining in all. Soon you will be only focusing on your new 2009 positive thinking focal points.
